Primos Coffee Co grows specialty arabica coffee high in the mountains of our family's farm in Nicaragua. Protected from the sun by a canopy of shade trees, the high mountain coffee cherries ripen, slowly enhancing their pleasant flavor.
Harvested and fully washed by hand, this means that after the cherries are milled, they ferment for 36 hours and then are completely washed prior to being dried in the strong sun and fresh air. The dried green beans are exported directly to our Texas roasting facility. We drum small roast batches using profiles carefully developed for our medium-bodied coffee.
Specialty coffee primarily focuses on Arabica coffee, the species grown at high elevation and is generally smooth and sweet with notes like chocolate and fruit. At Primos Coffee Co.
